Craft a CV with LaTeX

A lot of times when I find myself updating my CV, I end up spending more time struggling with formatting than actually doing the tiny update I wanted. Frustrated by this, I thought that there should be a faster way to manage this process. The solution? Separate the content from the format. That means having a file containing your personal information and another file defining how to present it. This problem is nicely solved by LaTex, a tool widely used in academia for document preparation. ...

How to Create Risk Maps

Risk: A Discontinued Hobby Risk is one of those board games that commands respect: once you start, you never know when you’ll finish; you risk losing friendships along the way, and when you lose, you invariably point to bad luck as the culprit. Risk is a complicated game, with long turns where strategy, diplomacy, and luck play crucial roles. Much like Monopoly, hours of gameplay chain together, turning into a sort of marathon that requires patience and dedication. ...

My Instagram Photos Explained

The Story Behind the Photos Our fascination with music remains one of the most mysterious cultural phenomena. There are countless theories about why we like music, but today I want to talk about one of the most curious ones. Instruments, rhythm, vocals, and melodies all try to tell a story to the listener. But it’s more than that; the stories surrounding the creation of a piece of music also become part of its culture, enriching it. This culture created around music is a powerful vector of identity. We identify with the narrative of the songs and the life of the artist. The author’s feelings and experiences contextualize the notes and words of their work. Thus, on many occasions, we end up liking the ideas represented in the music more than the melody itself: think of protest songs, national anthems, or love songs that remind you of someone special. ...

The CAT16x in Lego

The CAT16x is the sixteenth single-seater built by BCN eMotorpsort, a team of engineering students I had the privilege of being part of during my university years. The CAT16x was unveiled at the Rollout event in 2024. For this special occasion, I designed a Lego model of the CAT16x to be presented as a gift to our sponsors and university representatives. The main reason for creating the Lego model was to offer our sponsors a tangible memory from the event. These sponsors have supported the team over the years, and we wanted to express our gratitude by giving them something unique. The Lego model served as the perfect token—a miniature replica of the real car, designed to be displayed on a desk or shelf as a symbol of our continuous collaboration. ...

Goodbye, BCN eMotorsport

After two unforgettable years with BCN eMotorsport, it’s time to say goodbye. From my first year and a half working on developing our inverter to this past year as a Team Leader, it has been an unforgettable journey. Leading the team and managing the organizational side was both a challenge and a privilege. It taught me invaluable lessons about responsibility—what it truly means to be accountable for the team’s actions, owning both the successes and the (many) failures. ...
